Atelier LEZAT was created from a need for human connection and introspection

The word LEZAT لذت draws on the Persian word for pleasure and delight, rooted in the Persian poet Khayyam's Rubaiyat and its tradition of savoring the present moment amid uncertainty.

What we are about

Atelier LEZAT brings together art practitioners and visitors in an intimate but open environment for meaningful encounters through art appreciation and creation.

For artists, the atelier functions as a workshop and exhibition space — an opportunity to share one's process and work.

For visitors, it's a place to learn and engage with art through talks, workshops, film screenings, poetry readings, and classes led by a diverse, evolving team of teachers.

The practice within the space

  • Tina Behbahani

    Founder

    During the COVID lockdown, Tina took up drawing and painting as a meditative practice — one that quickly evolved into a new calling. Several years of self-study and art classes followed in Houston, TX, culminating in the founding of Atelier LEZAT in 2026 upon her return to Copenhagen.

    Having experienced the benefits of creative practice first-hand, Tina built Atelier LEZAT to give visitors a space to engage directly with original art and ample room for creative expression.

  • Mahla Seyedi

    Artist and Workshops

    Mahla has since an early age practiced drawing, oil, acrylic and pastel painting, and calligraphy. With exhibitions and workshops in Iran, Italy and Denmark she will contribute to classes and workshops at Atelier LEZAT with a wholly unique point of view.

  • Eric Prince

    Artist

    Eric Prince is a multidisciplinary artist working across oil painting, unique edition pigment prints, and digital media. He is the founder of E.C. Prince Gallery in central Copenhagen, near Rosenborg Castle, where his ongoing project 4 Frames turns four street-facing windows at the historic Hauser Plads into a public, always-on exhibition space.

    Alongside 4 Frames, his practice spans a range of bodies of work, from moonmeme to Imagined Peace and Dead Star, moving fluidly between classical and digital mediums.

    Eric's work is part of Atelier LEZAT's first exhibition, on view until the closing on September 18th, 2026.
